This work was published first in Budapest in 1904. In 2004 it was translated from the original Hungarian language into Arabic. The author was the stud manager at the Babolona National Stud in Hungary. Haddad (1841-1924) recorded his mission in 1901 and 1902 to Syria and Iraq aimed to buy Arabian horses in an area where Arabian horses were preserved its purebred original features. A detailed description is given to the life of the Bedouins in the Syrian-Iraqi desert, the negotiations and bargains to acquire horses, together with impressions about life under Ottoman rule in Mount Lebanon, Syria and Iraq.
